Professional Development Opportunity for Teachers Sponsored by the Silicon Valley Leadership Group and Intel
The Laboratory for Learning is beginning its second year of the Math Professional Development Initiative. It is an opportunity for K-8 teachers to develop math skills through a content-rich 80-hour course that runs from August 2008 to February 2009. The curriculum is based on the Intel Mathematics Initiative that successfully links course completion with improved student math achievement scores.

Education: A Laboratory for Learning
The Silicon Valley Leadership Group, with lead partner Intel Corporation and our other member company sponsors, has rolled out the first phase of its middle school math initiative by preparing six master teachers to conduct a math institute for up to sixty local elementary and middle school teachers.
