Before Dennis Cima knew the difference between a filibuster and filet-o-fish, he knew that public policy was in his blood.

The son of two public school educators (with more than 55 years combined of classroom experience), Dennis joined SVLG in 2004 to direct the organization's educational policy objectives toward improving student achievement in Silicon Valley .

Prior to joining SVLG, Dennis was the Assistant to the Santa Clara County Superintendent of Schools, Colleen Wilcox, where he assisted in managing the day-to-day operations of the superintendent’s office and provided policy support to the Superintendent and her cabinet, the County Board of Education, and local school districts.

For five years, Dennis served as a legislative assistant to former-Congressman Tom Campbell during Mr. Campbell's service in both the U.S. House of Representatives and California State Senate.

Dennis is a Bay Area native and a graduate of Santa Clara University . He resides in San Jose with his ever-supportive wife, Stephanie , and their two daughters.
