Laura Stuchinsky is the Director of Transportation and Land Use for the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, a public policy trade group founded in 1978. She has held that post since 2000.

In her role with the Leadership Group, Laura helps direct the activities of SVLG's Transportation Policy Committees and works with industry, civic, and community leaders to advance innovative solutions to the region's transportation, housing, and land use challenges.

Prior to joining the Leadership Group, Laura was a communications officer for the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) in Oakland, California and served as a liaison to the agency's planning department. Laura has also worked as a newspaper reporter specializing in local government and land use issues, a policy analyst for the California Telecommunication Policy Forum, and a Congressional Aide to then-Congressman Ron Wyden (Oregon). She has served as a producer and associate producer on a number of documentary films, educational videos, and television public affairs programs; a housing cooperative developer for a Portland community development agency, and a writer on land use issues for a national environmental magazine based in Portland.

Laura is also an avid swimmer, gardener, and devoted mom.
