SAN FRANCISCO 49ers HOST PASTA BOWL IN PARTNERSHIP WITH SILICON VALLEY LEADERSHIP GROUP
Entire 49ers team and top Valley CEOs to serve as celebrity waiters to raise money for 49ers Foundation in support of San Jose After-School All-Stars and City Year San Jose/Silicon Valley
The San Francisco 49ers in partnership with the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, will host “Pasta Bowl,” a family-style dinner event which will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2007 from 5:30 – 9:00 PM at the Santa Clara Convention Center. The event will raise funds for the San Francisco 49ers Foundation in support of two South Bay non-profit organizations, San Jose After-School All-Stars and City Year San Jose/Silicon Valley.
The entire 49ers team and top Silicon Valley CEOs will serve as celebrity waiters and dinner guests for each of the sponsored tables providing a unique opportunity for corporations and the community. In addition, executives have the opportunity to pair up with the 49ers player to serve the four-course meal to their table as a team. The event also includes a premier wine tasting reception, exclusive silent auction, youth activities, a commemorative gift and entertainment from the Food Network’s Two-Time Pizza Toss Gold Medal Winner and Nine-Time World Pizza Champion Tony Gemignani.
“This is a unique event for the 49ers and the Silicon Valley Leadership Group,” said 49ers Team Owner John York. “These two strong organizations have the opportunity to collaborate to raise awareness and funds for non-profit organizations that benefit youth throughout our community.”

The San Jose After-School All-Stars provides comprehensive out-of-school programs that keep children safe and help them achieve in school and in life. City Year San Jose/Silicon Valley is a dedicated volunteer corps that serve children in school classrooms and in after school programs, inspire youth to make positive choices, lead volunteers into transformative service, develop leadership skills and make life-long friends.
The Pasta Bowl is sponsored by such leading employers as Hewlett Packard, Applied Materials, Adecco, FedEx, Washington Mutual and See’s Candies.
