Silicon Valley Leadership Group Adds Three New Board Members

The Silicon Valley Leadership Group today announced the election of three new members to its 27-member board of directors: Shellye Archambeau, CEO of MetricStream, Doug Merritt, President of SAP Labs, and Thomas H. Werner, CEO of SunPower Corporation.

“Shellye, Doug and Tom all represent the best our valley has to offer as dedicated business and community leaders,” said Carl Guardino, CEO of the Leadership Group. “Each brings a unique vision, important values and a strong commitment to Silicon Valley and the work of our organization.”

Prior to joining MetricStream, a supplier of software for compliance with such federal mandates as Sarbanes-Oxley rules and FDA regulations, Archambeau was an executive with Loudcloud, NorthPoint Communications, Blockbuster and IBM.

Merritt heads business user development for SAP Labs and is a corporate officer for SAP AG. He has two decades of experience in the enterprise software industry, as founder of Icarian and executive roles with Patrol Software, PowerSoft and Accenture/Andersen Consulting.

Werner joined SunPower as CEO and a board member in 2003. Previously he served as CEO of Silicon Light Machines, an optical solutions subsidiary of Cypress Semiconductor, and held executive roles with 3Com, Oak Industries and General Electric.
